Great session ;-)

Loaded up last night in the rain ready for a fast get away today and managed to arrive just in time before Al hit the water.

Big tide today when we launched it was right up on the pebbles, no sand to be seen. Wind was onshore but to get out you needed to head south towards Borth but thatjust wasn't possible with the groynes.... so spent a few goes heading off the wind straight back into the shore. Managed to get out after getting down towards the estuary a bit and then blasted out towards the estuary mouth.

Al was going well and disappeared over past Dyfi towadrs the kites. I just went half way across the main channel before turning.

Felt like I was quite comfortable today with the waves on the inside, some nice small jumps landd and just kept going (I think my body has got the hang of this now). Further out the swell seemed rather large, I'm still getting used to how big it feels when you're out there. I think I also hit some bigger ramps today as the runs were so fast it felt like I launched skyward then came down quite vertically (I don't know if this looked any good but it felt like some bigger jumps).

Al headed out back to get upwind and back home for work but I headed into the channel as I was getting tired. Had quite a few mad runs across the channel in the relatively flatter water. Tried a bit of a carve practise sesh but I was shattered and getting cramp in both calves and abs. With the tide ebbing and the wind pushing me into the current I was a bit over powered which made for some very fast runs and meant I kept heading up wind so back out into the action. So I came in on the Ynyslas side and walked over the point into the calmness of the estuary and headed in.

Quick walk over the dunes to get the car and a much needed drink....

Great session, a rest from the carve practise and nice just to play in the waves in the sunshine.
